Q. & A. with sunshyne
Why did you start breeding?
I got into breeding when I purchased my first Beagle back in 2010. I love the breed and always wanted to get into showing them in the ring. When I purchased my first Corgi in 2014, I fell in love with the breed and knew I wanted to really get into Corgis more and started finding the right pair to breed. I love seeing how my beautiful pups turn out as adults.
What makes your program special?
I like to focus on the conformation of the breed. I plan to start showing in AKC conformation events in the next 2 years. I offer help as much as I can for transportation as well. My commitment is to provide you with a professional and friendly puppy-buying experience, which includes always having responsible practices when it comes to breeding, training, and rehoming my puppies. We are also a State Licensed Breeder which means the state inspects our kennels for clean and healthy pets.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our Dachshund puppies are miniature size. Beagle puppies are 15-inch size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our Dachshund puppies have longhaired coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Dachshund puppies include cream and black and cream. Beagle puppies include lemon and white and black tan and white. Cardigan Welsh Corgi puppies are black and white. Pembroke Welsh Corgi puppies include fawn, red, sable, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Breeder-Reported Testing
Good level
Nukee Beagles and Corgis reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Beagles.
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
