Meet the breeder

I'm Chastity P., the breeder behind Oak Haven Goldens located in Roca, NE. My dogs are like my kids I love them so much! They are indoor family pets, they all love the water especially my rusty boy he’s the only male I have, he would swim all day if I let him. My dogs are health tested and have great temperaments!

Q. & A. with Chastity

  • Why did you start breeding?

I got my first golden retriever 11 years ago she’s seriously amazing I love her so much she’s pictured on the right of me she really inspired me
  • What makes your program special?

My dogs are all very loved family pets they sleep with me besides when they are potty training my puppies are whelped in my room so I can be up with them every hour of the night and keep a close eye on everyone. I introduce the puppies to different sounds, they are socialized with kids at birth then at 6 weeks I start kennel training them they get microchipped and a full vet check. I do introduced them to outside as well as the leash but not for very long until I get turf down that I can sanitize since we live on a farm then I’ll start doing more outside time.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are light golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Chastity did a great job with our boy (Tater Tot)! Communication was great, and it was nice to see the pups growing through her updates. Tater was almost completely crate trained, and knew a few commands. We’re just over a week in and he’s doing great! Would absolutely recommend Oak Haven Goldens…

Chastity at Oak Haven Goldens provided an exceptional experience from start to finish. After the recent loss of our 22-month-old golden to osteosarcoma, her warmth and sensitivity meant a great deal to us. She took the time to speak with each of us individually, thoughtfully addressing our questions and concerns. Throughout the process, her communication was consistent and reliable, and she was always responsive and generous with her time. It’s clear she approaches her breeding program with care, intention, and a strong knowledge base. Most importantly, our puppy Arlo is everything we could have hoped for. He's smart, confident, calm, healthy, and incredibly engaging. We are completely in love and so grateful to Chastity for bringing him into our lives!

They had all the right paperwork for her and the parents so I knew the puppy was healthy and ready to be taken home. She also made the process easy and even cut an hour off my driving time by meeting me closer to my location.

Chastity was amazing to work with. Her communication, proactive updates and transparency though the process we could asked for more. Nothing but positive in the whole experience. Shelby is adapting well and our English bulldog Bentley is accepting also. I will say she doesn’t like to be left along haha

We just brought home our 8 week Golden Retriever from Chastity a week ago! We are so in love with our precious puppy! We were so impressed from the moment we expressed interest in getting a puppy from her! She answered every question we had in a timely fashion and was extremely knowledgeable! Working through Good Dog made the process seamless! We loved how Chastity shared pictures and kept us updated on the development of the puppies! She also shared pictures so that we could see firsthand how the puppies were growing! We just had our first Vet visit and received a glowing report on our puppy’s health! We can’t thank Chastity enough for giving our “fur-ever” pup a wonderful start on life!

Chasity was so awesome throughout the whole process of getting our puppy. She communicated efficiently and was ready with any information I needed to know! She is very kind and always loves the updates she sees on socials too. Will definitely check to see if she has litters available when we’re ready for a new addition to the family! 🐾 ❤️
