I'm Mandi R., the breeder behind Oak Haven Great Danes located in Ocala, FL. We breed in order to preserve the wonderful attributes we found in our dogs. Because of our dedication to both the health and quality of the breed, it's our goal to pass these traits down to future generations.

Why did you start breeding?
During my childhood my mother and I raised Persian cats. We would show them at cat shows all over the country. After my mother passed away, I wanted to carry on that same joy I had with my own children with a breed that I fell in love with years ago.What makes your program special?
We only breed dogs who have proven themselves to be excellent examples of the breed. All breeding dogs are health tested and compete in AKC dog shows to build outstanding pedigrees. We love our companion homes just as much as our show homes. we stay connected with families through out the life of the dogs and are always here to answer any questions or offer any guidance along the way.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include mantle merle, brindle, fawn, harlequin, mantle, merle, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

Mandi is wonderful to work with. I absolutely love my Great Dane puppy received from her. She is great to speak to and extremely knowledgeable of the breed. She has years of experience in not just the breed but vet care and has been answering any questions I have had.
