I'm Taylor M., the breeder behind Oak River Goldens' located in Tenino, WA. We hold ourselves to high standards for the integrity of our program. All of our puppies are socialized, nurtured, and loved! As breeders, we are very selective in our breeding decisions. We are planning a cider litter for later this summer. Here's one of her females from her 1st litter (with a different, similar colored sire) last summer ☺️ This litter should produce some nice light to deep red pups

The puppies went to the vet yesterday, everyone is healthy and doing wonderful! Vaccines and microchips were given. Go home day is coming up quick!

Puppies had their vet exam yesterday. Everyone is healthy! They all received their 1st distemper/parvo vaccine and microchips. They were also dewormed for the 2nd time. They will be due for their next round of shots & final dewormer in 3-4 weeks, so make sure to schedule your pups wellness exam at your vet soon, most vets are booked out a few weeks and you don't want their 1st vaccine to expire.

Hi all! Just another reminder to order your puppies food, supplement, and pine litter! Go home day is coming up FAST 😊 Please let me know if you've picked out a name for your pup so I can have it added onto their vet paperwork (apt is tomorrow, Monday afternoon!). Puppies are 90% litterbox trained using the pine bedding and are eating hard kibble. We are doing leash introduction starting tomorrow as well. Photo of dad, Porter, headed to Starbucks for a pup cup 🥰

New puppy pics uploaded 😊 Remember to pre-order your NuVet supplement and buy your bag of PawTree food so that it's ready when your puppy gets home. We've been litter box training (with pine pellets) and they're doing wonderful. I highly recommend getting a bag to make potty training easier.

Hello everyone! Here are our recommendations for all things puppy. I'll post everything below. If you have any questions or need help, shoot me a text or message on here. 😁 1. Food- I highly recommend getting at least 1 bag of PawTree (chicken & oatmeal, but any are great!). This is what we feed the puppies and having a bag at home will help transition them to whatever food you want, if you decide to stick with PawTree, they do have an autoship option that makes it easier. All of our dogs have been on this food for around 18 months and are doing fantastic. https://pawtree.com/OakRiverGoldens 2. Supplement- All our adult dogs are on NuVet multivitamin, we also start giving the puppies these at 6 weeks old to "fill the nutritional gap" as they wean off their mom's milk and fully onto kibble. I've used it for the last 5 years and really like it. It's not sold in stores and is only available on their website. They have free shipping, though. I really recommend that they are kept on this for at least the first 2 years as they grow and mature. http://www.nuvet.com/187737 3. Sleeping- I recommend crate training as this is the safest thing for your pup when you aren't home (plus it trains them to be OK with the crate if they ever need to be in one during an emergency or vet trip). We introduce the crate at 5 weeks old. 4. Potty- I introduce a litterbox with Pine pellet bedding (sold for horses/goats at any feed store for around $15 a bag) at 5 weeks old. This makes potty training much easier. If you pick up a bag, you will just have to put a small pile outside where you want your puppy to go to the bathroom, and they will recognize the scent and go there. We do not introduce Potty pads as they can be a choking hazard and are messy.

Communication with Taylor was easy and she was quick to respond to our messages. Our puppy is sweet, very active and a quick learner. She is 12 weeks old now and mostly housebroken, crate training is going well. Our vet examined her and was very positive about how well the breeder had prepared our puppy for adoption.
