I'm Henry H., the breeder behind OikiaDoodle located in `Richmond, VA. OikiaDoodle is where you’ll find one litter a year of charming mini goldendoodle puppies ready for adoption into loving homes. We’re the Hertzler family and Chesky, the Dame, lives with us year round in our home in Richmond Virginia. Expect good bloodlines, genetic testing, wonderful personalities.

Why did you start breeding?
While it could be tempting to carefully guard the genetics of our outstanding family dog Chesky, we decided that sharing her genetics with others was better. Our hope is that you will find a dog that you'll fall in love with from one of Chesky's litters.What makes your program special?
At OikiaDoodle, you'll find the health testing, registrations, and early neurological development you'd expect from the best breeders, but without the ethical problems associated with traditional puppy mill breeders and dog farms. Your dog will be socialized with our family and fully prepared for integration into it's new future.What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Getting a puppy from Henry
Henry has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices include a $300 non-refundable deposit and between $1,450 - $2,700 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“Price includes CKC registration, physical and vaccines by licensed vet, puppy guarantee, worming, socialization, and the ENS protocol. This deposit secures your puppy and goes toward the final price.”
Contract & health guarantee
Henry may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. About Chesky
Chesky is the Dame of OikiaDoodle mini Goldendoodle puppies and is an affectionate companion to the kids and grown-ups in her life. She’s a CKC registered 24-pound F1B (2nd gen) miniature Goldendoodle who’s most striking trait is her gentle, intelligent, and affectionate personality. Even as a pup, her calm and relaxed temperament was a striking contrast to stereotypical yappy, over-energized, goldendoodle pup. She hopes to pass on this exceptional trait to all of her pups. Don’t be mistaken, she loves a good run, adventures in nature, and walks through the neighborhood. But she’ll be just as content laying on the floor with a baby.

Neonatal Encephalopathy with Seizures (NEwS), PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), von Willebrand Disease I (vWD I)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
