I'm Valerie P., the breeder behind One Thousand Tails located in Pacheco, CA. We raise our litters in our home to help set the foundation for happy and confident puppies to transition well into their forever homes. It’s a privilege to have the opportunity to make an impact on each individual puppy!
Q. & A. with Valerie
Why did you start breeding?
We always wanted Goldens, and we wanted well-bred, healthy Goldens, so we searched long and hard for the best pup we could find. We knew these dogs were special, so we got the pick of the litter for ourselves, Zadie! She was so sweet and beautiful, we knew we had to share her with everyone through a carefully planned breeding. We found an amazing stud and she had her first litter in 2020.
What makes your program special?
We breed English Cream Golden Retrievers because we found that they had, on average, longer lifespans and lower incidences of cancer and other common diseases. That means we can have more, happy and healthy years with our four legged friends.
We socialize our puppies to a wide variety of people and surfaces, and use Early Neurological Stimulation. We get them ready for a lifetime of learning.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are light golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
