Meet the breeder

I'm Donah S., the breeder behind Ouachita River Cockapoos located in Mena, AR. We love this breed and the experience of having litters! Our mission is to raise pups that are set to become the best companions. Our mission is to breed the very best dogs that we can, to raise them with love, and to select their future homes with careful attention.

Q. & A. with Donah

  • Why did you start breeding?

I've always been partial to puppies and have raised many litters of other breeds. I came across my momma girls when they were just 8 weeks old, purchased them the next day and picked them up. I love this small dog breed and noticed the positive attributes of them. Sharing what I love and bringing joy to families is what makes me happy.
  • What makes your program special?

I spend a lot of time with my momma dogs and the puppies everyday. I am almost an empty nester with my kids going off to college and these babies get my time! I always have loved dogs and raising puppies and finally found the time to do it! It makes me happy to know that other people will get to experience the joy a family pet can bring. I wouldn't provide anything less than what I would expect, from the quality of the sires used to the health of the puppies! These babies are raised in my home and get the benefits of being around people, other pets and the every day atmosphere they will experience in a new home.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our Aussiedoodle puppies are mini size. Cockapoo puppies are mini size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Aussiedoodle puppies include brown and white and apricot. Cockapoo puppies include brown, black and white, black, golden, buff and white, buff, and brown and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Donah

Donah has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Donah partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“Most people have a general idea of what type of puppy they are looking for. When a buyer picks a puppy, a video call is required before a deposit is made to make sure they are a good fit with the owners and vise versa. Environments, temperaments and all around care of the puppies are important and will be matched accordingly. ”

Price

Puppy prices include a $350 non-refundable deposit and between $550 - $1,250 final payment, before taxes & fees.
Pay over time with Klarna.

“The deposit is non refundable. I believe that requiring a deposit will ensure that a person is serious about acquiring a puppy. Puppies are cute and everyone loves a puppy, but they are a life long commitment and can live anywhere on average from 14 to 18 years.”

Contract & health guarantee

Donah may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. If Donah offers a contract or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them. If you have any questions or want to know more, don't hesitate to reach out to Donah directly.

All contracts are handled securely through Good Dog.

We adopted a puppy from Donah in early July, so we’ve had our Birdi (originally named Maddy) for a month. Communicating with Donah was a breeze. She was professional with her responses to questions and willing to work with me to settle all my concerns. She cares deeply for the Mom & Dad dogs and every single puppy that comes from them. I met her and her pack before our adoption date and could see that I had nothing to worry about. Birdi’s mom is Daisy and her dad is Jasper. They are two happy, smart, beautiful, healthy parents. I even got to meet Birdi’s grandma! When we brought Birdi home, she settled in smoothly. You could see the work Donah had put into making sure she had a smooth start. She seemed to know how to play house and wasn’t afraid of her new big sister, Jilly Bean. Birdi is a spunky lil pup, a perfect addition to our pack. She’s super smart and very cuddly. I love her so much! I especially love being able to keep up with her siblings and Donah on the GoodDog app. That’s really fun!

Donah was amazing to work with. Always fast to answer any questions throughout the process. I can tell that she took very good care of Henry, and set him up for nothing but success. She provided notes at pickup that where everything we needed to know about not on the breed but also Henry as a puppy. I would 100% recommend her to anyone who is looking for a new addition to their family.

Bringing Gumbeaux home has been an incredible experience from start to finish. Our breeder was knowledgeable, caring, and truly dedicated to the health and well-being of every puppy. They were always available to answer our questions, kept us updated throughout the process, and made us feel confident every step of the way. Gumbeaux is healthy, happy, and has the sweetest personality. It's obvious he was raised with so much love and care before joining our family. We couldn't be happier with our experience and are so grateful for the amazing start they gave our puppy. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for a responsible, ethical breeder who truly loves what they do. Thank you for giving us our perfect boy, Gumbeaux!

I cannot recommend Donah enough! She is wonderful to work with, genuinely kind, and supported us through every step of the process with endless patience. Our puppy, Etta, is not only perfectly healthy and thriving, but she also has a stellar personality. She adapted to our home beautifully, established a great routine, and is incredibly brave and calm when exploring the world. Donah doesn't just raise dogs; she raises confident and happy family members. Thank you, Donah, for such a wonderful experience!

Donah was excellent to work with. Communication was easy and timely. She was helpful with directions to pick up our puppy. The puppy (Bear now Buddy) was in excellent condition with a happy disposition. Buddy is doing GREAT; growing fast and capturing hearts from family, friends and anyone he meets. Our vet was very impressed as are we. Buddy is happy and loved.
