I'm Alisha K., the breeder behind Our Father’s Doodles located in Bedford, IA. We work hard to produce healthy, well-rounded Cockapoo puppies that will make others as happy as our dogs have made us! We commit to preparing each of our puppies to thrive in their new homes, and we enjoy working with their new families so that they can raise their beloved companions with confidence!
Q. & A. with Alisha
Why did you start breeding?
Our family has always been a dog family. We got a cockapoo for our daughter for her 16th birthday and we absolutely fell in love! Our friends and family fell in love too. It was very hard to find a cockapoo in our area, so after a lot of prayer we decided to add Sully (our male) to our family. With us being at home all the time, we decided this was perfect for our family. We can give so much love and attention to the puppies and our dogs.
What makes your program special?
Our family has poured hours of prayer and time into the first 8 weeks of your puppies life while their at our home. Your puppy will be litter trained when it leaves our home and and go home with a goody bag filled with some essentials for your first few weeks at your home. We are here for any question that may come up throughout your puppies life.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are mini size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Alisha was very quick to respond with all questions and was good about keeping me updated with photos while we waited for our puppy to be old enough to bring home. She was very agreeable to meet me halfway when it was time to welcome our sweet little boy. She was very organized with all her records and sent us home set up for success with a bad of food, a puppy blanket that smelled like mama, some chew toys, and some vitamins that she had been giving him. I can’t think of a single thing that she could have done better. As far has our puppy goes, we LOVE him so much! He is a very fast learner and loves to he loved on. He loves to play with the kids. He has been the perfect fit for our home.

Aisha was very generous with her knowledge and the little gift bag she handed us. We renamed our new puppy Stella. Stella has lived with us for 2 weeks and is now 16 weeks old. She is one of the smartest dogs I’ve ever had. A Cockapoo from Alisha is highly recommended by our family.

From the moment we connected with Alisha through Good Dog, the experience was seamless and reassuring. Alisha was incredibly responsive, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about her dogs. She kept us updated with regular photos, videos, and messages, which made the wait for Cooper feel exciting rather than anxious. She knew how excited we were to get Cooper and even met us halfway on the pick-up day.
You can tell she puts genuine care into raising her puppies—Cooper came home healthy and happy! The entire process, from initial contact to secure payment, was smooth thanks to Good Dog’s platform. We felt supported every step of the way.
We’re so grateful to have found Alisha and Our Father’s Doodles through Good Dog. Cooper has brought so much joy into our lives—he’s full of energy, loves playtime, snuggles, and going on walks. We couldn’t be happier!

Working with Alisha at Our Fathers Doodles was a pleasant and easy process. We were able to find Alfie and make all the arrangements to pick him up very easily. Alisha was responsive and answered all of my questions beforehand and when we met to pick up Alfie. Alisha was very informed about Cockapoos in general and Alfie's vaccinations, health, socialization and had lots of helpful information, advice, and recommendations. We certainly recommend Alisha and Our Fathers Doodles if you are looking for a Cockapoo.
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
