Q. & A. with Ally

  • Why did you start breeding?

Being deep into the world of behavior and seeing how heartbreaking it can be on the family to work help their pups attain emotional health, I have made it my mission to help bring emotionally and physically healthy pups into the world. My breeding emphasis is surrounding helping pups become as resilient as possible.
  • What makes your program special?

All of my pups are either second or third generation raw fed, supporting early development. I build resilience and confidence as each puppy is ready. What sets my program apart is my applied behavior background. Every step is intentional, with a focus on stress tolerance and long term stability. Each puppy is raised with thoughtful exposure and observation.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black, red merle, blue merle, and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

Ally made this a fantastic experience! Her breeding practices must obviously work becuase our puppy (Tempest) is a perfect puppy! She was so calm on the 7 hour drive home. No potty accidents, no diarrhea, no throwing up. Ally sent us home with a care package with treats, food, toys and blankets that Tempest was used to. When we got home Tempest was all tail wags. She adjusted to her crate within minutes and slept almost a strait 9 hours at bed time. She is very playful with my 4 year old. She is comfortable getting her feet wiped and fur brushed. I've been on good dog for about 6 months looking for an Aussie with a full tail, responsible breeder and parents on the smaller size. We could not be happier! Communication was great and we loved watching her grow up on Instagram. Big thanks to Ally for taking such good care of our puppy up to this point!

Ally was great to work with! Our puppy, Benny (formerly Rodeo), is so sweet and well-behaved. We got him at about 16 weeks, and he already knew basic commands (sit, down, come, etc.), was comfortable in his crate, and great at settling. He also gets along so well with the other dogs in our lives. He has been the perfect match for us and our lifestyle. We're already looking forward to getting our next puppy from Outlaw Minis!

Ally was incredibly responsive, helpful, and knowledgeable throughout the entire process. She took the time to answer all of my questions and provided regular updates before pickup. It’s obvious how much care, thought, and effort goes into raising her puppies. Bringing a puppy home has been a wonderful experience, and I would gladly recommend Outlaw Minis to anyone looking for a Mini American Shepherd.

Ally with Outlaw Minis was a dream to work with. I reached out to Ally 4 months before her planned litter matches to ask about breeding ethics, pup parent health history and timing and Ally was great to communicate in a timely manner. Planning was easy as was meeting our pup a few weeks before taking her home since we are local. The pick up of our sweet Penny (aka Tundra) was a breeze. The transition to our home has been wonderful since Ally practices socialisation and stimulation techniques. Since bringing Penny home, Ally has been available for questions when things have come up. I highly recommend Outlaw Minis. We are so happy to have our sweet new furry family member.

Ally was wonderful to work with -- we appreciated her prompt responses in communicating, being able to zoom and meet the pups as we were deciding, as well as all her amazing training tips + holistic care in preparing them to be ready for their new homes. We're thrilled to have Loki (Bullet) in our home and he is such a sweet pup.
