I'm Tara W., the breeder behind Padgetts Hill Puppies located in Natural Bridge, VA. How we raise our puppies at Padgett Hill Pups! We see the difference in our puppies from the amount of love and care our family gives to each puppy. Our puppies are confident, love to be held, socialized, exposed to new sights and sounds, and most importantly we start the foundation of trusting people. We raise our puppies in our home with our 3 daughters. Together we all add something unique to our program.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our Cavapoo puppies include toy and miniature sizes. Bernedoodle puppies are mini size. Goldendoodle puppies include miniature and medium sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Cavapoo puppies include merle, black and tan, brown, blenheim, tri-color, chocolate, red, and apricot. Bernedoodle puppies include tri-color and merle. Goldendoodle puppies include apricot, red, chocolate, merle, and parti. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and guardian homes.

Getting a puppy from Tara

Tara has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Tara partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Puppy prices include a $300 non-refundable deposit and between $1,700 - $3,200 final payment, before taxes & fees.

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • DNA Disease Panel, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), DNA Profile, von Willebrand Disease I (vWD I)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

    Our experience working with Tara at Padgetts Hill Puppies was wonderful from beginning to end. From the moment we first reached out, Tara was incredibly responsive and helpful. She answered all of our questions, made time to FaceTime so we could meet our puppy live, and even helped connect us with someone who could safely deliver Ginger to us in New York — which made the entire process feel very easy and seamless. Even though we reserved Ginger when she was already about seven weeks old, Tara shared photos and videos from the puppies’ album so we could see how she had been doing since birth, which made the experience feel very personal. She also provided clear information about Ginger’s vaccines and deworming schedule, so we felt well prepared when it was time for her to come home. Most importantly, you can tell how much Tara genuinely cares about the puppies and their well-being. We couldn’t be happier with Ginger, and the whole experience was smooth from start to finish.     Tara was wonderful to work with; super professional and a great communicator. She was flexible with dates/transport and once we got our pup she had all the info we needed to have a great first start together. I would highly recommend working with her!!
