Meet the breeder

I'm Heather P., the breeder behind Painted Platinum Retrievers (Painted Platinum Kennel) PPK located in Jesup, GA. At Painted Platinum Retrievers, we are passionate hobby breeders dedicated to raising Golden Retrievers with outstanding temperaments and health. Our program is rooted in maintaining the integrity of the breed—producing Goldens who are not only beautiful, but also loving, intelligent, and versatile. Our dogs are raised in a family environment, where they are cherished companions first. We carefully help match our puppies to companion homes that want a loyal family member, while also supporting those interested in Goldens for working roles. We are proud to share our Goldens with families who will treasure them as much as we do.

Q. & A. with Heather

  • Why did you start breeding?

I started breeding Doberman Pinschers in 2007. I raised them for almost ten years then retired from the breed and started raising Aussies. I always had an Australian Shepherd growing up and I knew I had to get back in the game with the best dogs around! We added goldens to the family a few years ago, having one as a child i knew i wanted my boys to grow up with a retriever alongside our aussies.
  • What makes your program special?

Everything in our program starts off with a good foundation. From the sire/dam, to how they are raised. We handle puppies multiple times daily and expose them to many situations similar to a home to help prepare them for a family.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include dark golden, golden, and light golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
