About Cash
Cash is a 16" moderately high drive dog that loves to please. He is a great hand on the ranch and loves riding on the ATV seat while we check salt and mineral. His intensity and desire to do what you want him to do are unparalleled. Cash thoroughly enjoys swimming, fetch, and herding ewes. Cash's Embark results can be seen at embk.me/cash502

About Kate
Kate is 17" tall and a low-drive dog. She's happy laying at my feet all day while I study but does enjoy getting to ride on the feed truck or moving some ewes to the corrals if the opportunity arises. She has a great wear pattern on livestock and she never gets too worked up. Everyone needs a Kate to cuddle and be a couch potato with.

Paragon Ranch reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Miniature American Shepherds.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Brucellosis
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), Hereditary (Juvenile) Cataracts (HC; JC), Australian Shepherd Type, Collie Eye Anomaly (CEA), Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
