I'm Wyatt C., the breeder behind Paragon Ranch located in Stillwater, OK. We are a regenerative grazing operation and strive to breed quality ranch-raised Miniature American Shepherds focusing on performance, temperament, and health. Our dogs make great family pets, sports dogs, or partners on the farm or ranch. Our dogs help us work sheep and goats every day!

Why did you start breeding?
I chose Miniature American Shepherds many years ago and found that they made excellent partners for my lifestyle. We can be laying around in the house while I study and ready to go run for an hour straight in an instant! I love my dogs and want to help ensure other people can experience how great they are while also growing the community of good breeding.What makes your program special?
We strive to place each puppy in a home that fits its needs based on personality, not on colors or markings. With this, we provide our puppies with lots of enrichment, socialization, and exposure to multiple species of livestock to help prepare them for future families.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black, red merle, blue merle, and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

“The price includes a health guarantee, AKC registration, microchip, 6 and 8-week vaccinations, and Purina Pro Plan Puppy Kits. All our puppies are the same price regardless of color or sex (with very few exceptions).”

Cash is a 16" moderately high drive dog that loves to please. He is a great hand on the ranch and loves riding on the ATV seat while we check salt and mineral. About Kate
Kate is 17" tall and a low-drive dog. She's happy laying at my feet all day while I study but does enjoy getting to ride on the feed truck or moving some ewes to the corrals if the opportunity arises. She has a great wear pattern on livestock and she never gets too worked up. Everyone needs a Kate to cuddle and be a couch potato with.

Addy is a female Miniature American Shepherd. Carefully selected as a great representative of her breed, Wyatt decided to make her part of their program. Wyatt has passed Good Dog’s screening process, which involved a review of their breeding practices, environment, and the mental and physical health of their dogs.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Brucellosis
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), Hereditary (Juvenile) Cataracts (HC; JC), Australian Shepherd Type, Collie Eye Anomaly (CEA), Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
