I'm Caitlin L., the breeder behind Pawlmetto Danes located in Spartanburg, SC. We are dedicated and passionate breeders. We strive to keep the tight eyes/lips, bulky head, best temperament and make the best cuddle buddies! But our biggest goal is to breed happy & healthy pups! Our mission is to create future family members right here in the chaos of our own family ♥️.

    Our programs is designed with our future families in mind! We couldn’t imagine a life without a dane- so our mission is to train these sweet babies to the best of our abilities for their future homes.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies are black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Caitlin

Caitlin has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Price

Puppy prices include a $400 non-refundable deposit and between $1,100 - $3,600 final payment, before taxes & fees.

"Some puppies, with unique or special coloring will be higher than plain coats. $200 to get on the list, first come first serve basis. So when we have our liters we go down and let them pick out their sweet baby in order. And when puppy is picked we require a $200 deposit."

Contract & health guarantee

Caitlin may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

    We could not have asked for a better experience with Caitlin and her family at Pawlmetto Danes. If you’re considering one of her puppies, I highly recommend making the trip to pick up your puppy in person if you can. It was such a fun and memorable experience. Getting to meet Caitlin and her family, see the environment the puppies are raised in, and spend time with the litter before bringing one home was incredibly special and reassuring. Caitlin was unbelievably helpful throughout the entire process. She guided us through everything we needed for travel (treats, airline carrier, crates, etc.), helped us prepare for those first weeks with a puppy, and even recommended nearby hotels that made the trip really easy. She also provided incredibly thorough medical records, early vaccinations, and testing for Murray. Our vet actually commented on how well organized and complete everything was, which we really appreciated as first-time Great Dane owners. She even sent us home with a thoughtful little goody bag with some starter items for Murray, which was such a nice touch. And then there’s Murray. He has been the most joyful addition to our lives — healthy, confident, and with the most beautiful coat. It’s obvious how much love, care, and early socialization these puppies receive before they ever go to their new homes. If you’re looking for a Great Dane breeder, stop searching — you found the right one. We feel incredibly lucky to have found Murray and Pawlmetto Danes.

    Working with Pawlmetto Danes has been a wonderful experience from the very beginning.
