Meet the breeder

I'm Alicia V., the breeder behind Peach & Pawmetto Doodles located in Smiths Station, AL. Our breeding program focuses on the health and well-being of our dogs. We ensure that all breeding practices meet the highest standards of care and responsibility, with our dogs all living in guardian home families.

Q. & A. with Alicia

  • Why did you start breeding?

I grew up in a breeders family, I whelped my first litter at 14. It was a natural path, considering my love for genetics and animals, further defined by my own children’s needs for a dog that was both allergy friendly with a temperament that lent them to autism therapy work.
  • What makes your program special?

We placed great emphasis on the genetics and health of our litters, they are definitely planned and executed with our Dogs’s best interest at the forefront. We also believe that there is a great responsibility as a breeder to ensure that our pups go to owners who understand the responsibility, and should that change we expect to assume the responsibility in finding that dog a replacement home.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are mini size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include red, black and white, tri-color, blue merle, and merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.

Getting a puppy from Alicia

Alicia has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Alicia partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“we are very selective on which applications we approve even for our waitlists - from there, we of course have a conversation with each individual/family as to what they’re looking for in a pet. We do love vibrant colors - but we do not believe that is what is most important in selection or matching a pup with their family. our selection process is a little bit different. We do ask our families to submit their preferences at week three and weeks five and ultimately we make recommendations based off of temperament assessment around 6/7weeks. On occasion matches may be finalized earlier, but again with taking temperament, family dynamics & schedule/lifestyle into account. This allows us to find the perfect match for each pup and family, and ensuring in a lifetime of happiness together.”
