Doug & Sue H.

Breeder of Golden Retrievers

Meet the breeder

I'm Doug & Sue H., the breeder behind Pebble Creek Golden Retrievers located in St Louis, MO. Our goldens are bred for health and temperament. We also look for structure and movement in our breeding program. We look to produce great companion and pets. We show our goldens at AKC dog shows, hunt test and obedience events.

Q. & A. with Doug & Sue

  • Why did you start breeding?

We enjoy the breed so much. We did a lot of research and two of our goldens are in the Morris Animal Golden Retriever Lifetime Study. In looking at breeding we consulted other breeders around the country before we decided to get into breeding. It is a commitment learning and educating about science, genetics and structure.
  • What makes your program special?

We are always working to improve our breeding program. We do that by attending seminars in person or online. We also stay up to date on any issues that might be occurring in the bred.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
