I'm Makaela H., the breeder behind Peitato Chips located in Lenoir, NC. My name is Makaela! I’ve had all types of dogs, from small to large throughout my life, and sharpeis just have a way to my heart. I am dedicated to improving the health of this breed and doing my due diligence to help fight SPAID.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    After having a horrible experience with dealing with SPAID and watching it suffer as a 6 month old puppy, it became my mission to improve the health of this amazing breed.

  • What makes your program special?

    My dogs are my pets. None of them will be rehomed after “retiring”. All of them will live with me for the remainder of their lives after having pups. I don’t do this for money, I have a full time job for that. I do this because I love sharpei and want others to get to experience sharpei in the way I have.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include chocolate dilute, five point red dilute, black sable, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,000 - $1,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.
