Meet the breeder

I'm Ashley S., the breeder behind Pembroke Welsh Corgis at Belle Haven located in Yulee, FL. Our mission is to raise healthy, happy, adorable Corgi puppies and connect loving families with their new best friends! We treat our dogs and puppies like family, and we give each pup all the loving care that we can to prepare them for their forever homes. We are proud of our program and look forward to helping you find your next furry family member!

Q. & A. with Ashley

  • Why did you start breeding?

Our family is full of animal lovers. We maintain a small farm in Northeast Florida and raise Pembroke Welsh Corgis as well as AQHA and Gypsy Vanner horses. With a background in horse showing and healthcare, raising healthy, quality breeding stock is what we live for.
  • What makes your program special?

Each of our puppies are well socialized, have exposure to livestock, children, and cats, giving them a well-rounded introduction to the world. This helps our puppies transition to their new homes with ease and less stress. We are committed to raising healthy puppies, and have all of our parent dogs genetically tested and frequently vetted with fully transparency to prospective buyers.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include fawn, red, white and red, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

In a million years we could not recommend a better place to find a puppy! Ashley and her family are the sweetest, kindest souls. Our puppy Betty came healthy, strong, brave, smart, and silly. She loves dogs - even ones 5 times her size - and she has become an irreplaceable part of our family. Ashley was kind, accommodating, and had absolutely every piece of information we could ever need: she was always quick with a response on the process, answering our questions even after we had taken Betty home. Her family‘s love of animals shines through in every conceivable way. I could not recommend this family and their puppies more: we will never be able to thank Ashley enough for our beautiful new family member.

Pembroke Welsh Corgis at Belle Haven was absolutely amazing to work with during the process of adopting our little corgi Nutmeg. Ashley was knowledge about the breed/long term care of corgis and easily guided us throughout the entire process. She answered every question we could think of asking about a corgi and always responded to us within 24 hours. We received weekly photos/videos of our little Nutmeg along with updates of her growth. Ashley made sure we were ready for our puppy as she shared resources and puppy tips for new dog parents. When it was finally time to get our pup, Ashley gave all the advice on how to care for her, what her personality was like, and even gave us a goodie bag filled with puppy essentials that came in handy on our drive home with Nutmeg. We feel blessed to have worked with this excellent breeder and will keep in touch to share updates with her as Ashley cares for each puppy even if they are at their new homes. Our Nutmeg is a happy and lovable almost 6 month old pup and we couldn't be more grateful for working with Ashley to get her. We highly recommend this breeder if you wish to get a happy healthy corgi pup in your future.

Ashley pre trained our Corgi puppy Max so well he is the perfect puppy. He’s only had one accident and that was because we forgot to let him out. He loves his crate and playpen and has learned our sleep and wake-up schedule perfectly. He truly is the best of our 3 previous Corgis. Loud noise, thunder fire crackers does not bother Max like our other corgis. This has to be the result of Ashley carefully training and nurturing Max for the 10 weeks she had him. Thank you Ashley!

I had such a great experience with Ashley and the Good Dog app. From the first moment I reached out to Ashley she was immediately responsive and answered all the questions I had about the puppy I was looking get as well as the app itself. I had never used Good Dog before but everything was so easy. Let me tell use this breed of Corgi and breeder are amazing. Chloe (the name of my puppy) is sooo smart and such a sweet girl. We love her to piece and so does our other dachshund puppy. They are definitely best friends. I couldn’t have asked for a better transaction and breeder. If I ever need to get another corgi, and this breeder is still around, I’ll definitely choose her. Thank you so much, Ashley .
