Q. & A. with Penny
Why did you start breeding?
I have raised my family on a working ranch and always had a passion for dogs. I'm now retired from ranching and nursing, I chose to devote my energies full time to raising quality pups for family pets.
What makes your program special?
Each litter is born and raised in my home. My goal is to “raise each puppy as I would want a puppy raised for me.” I specialize in Bernedoodles and Sheepadoodles, as they're an excellent option for families…especially those that have dog-allergies. My best achievement as a breeder has been witnessing a child hold a puppy for the first time and not have an allergic reaction. Pups are my passion!
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies include mini and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include sable, black and white, and tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Good level
Penny Harris reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Bernedoodles.
Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Brucellosis
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Genetic Diversity Test, Animal Genetics Panel, Full Embark Panel
