Q. & A. with Frances
Why did you start breeding?
I got into breeding later in life after my children flew the coop! I found myself looking for something meaningful to fill the gap. That's when I got my second Standard Poodle, Finnian. He was such a wonderful dog and I wanted to share this fabulous breed with others. I began looking for a mentor and was lucky enough to find an excellent one.
What makes your program special?
One of my goals as a breeder is to do my part towards reducing the incidence of autoimmune diseases by breeding dogs who are unusual genetically (outliers) to the majority of the breed.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.
