After losing our beloved oversized Goldendoodle, Brody, I never thought I would be ready for another dog. Brody was truly one of a kind—our loyal companion, fishing buddy, and cherished family member. The thought of bringing home another puppy felt impossible because no dog could ever replace him. But between my son missing his fishing partner and our mini doodle missing her best friend, I was fighting a losing battle from the start. While browsing Good Dog, I came across the cutest little puppy with one brown eye and one blue eye. Mayme had many adorable puppies that caught my attention, but there was just something special about him. When my son saw his picture, he immediately asked if we could bring him home. He was relentless, and honestly, I kept thinking, "What are the chances we could even make this work?" At the time, we were preparing to leave for Florida for a gymnastics competition. We decided that if everything somehow fell into place, it was meant to be. I reached out to Mayme, and from that moment on, everything seemed to happen effortlessly. Knowing we had a very limited timeframe, she quickly arranged a vet visit and worked with us to make sure our little puppy would be ready to fly home with us. Thanks to her responsiveness, kindness, and willingness to help, what seemed impossible suddenly became reality. Today, Mr. Shamrock—now known as Remy—is a treasured member of our family. He has the sweetest temperament, an incredible demeanor, and has been such a well-behaved puppy. Most importantly, he has brought joy, laughter, and love back into our home at a time when we were still healing from the loss of Brody. No dog could ever replace Brody, but Remy has helped fill the hole that was left behind. For that, we are forever grateful. Thank you, Mayme, for raising such wonderful puppies and for helping bring Remy into our lives. Finding you through Good Dog was truly a blessing, and I believe Remy was meant to be ours all along.
