Getting a puppy from Ricardo

Ricardo has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Ricardo partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“At Peshos Cockapoos, our goal is to ensure each puppy is placed in the best possible home based on personality, lifestyle, and compatibility—not just appearance. To achieve this, we follow a structured puppy matching process: ⸻ 1. Puppy Personality Evaluation Each puppy is observed and evaluated as they grow (typically between 5–7 weeks of age). We assess traits such as: • Energy level (low, moderate, high) • Confidence (bold vs. more reserved) • Social behavior (independent vs. people-focused) • Play style (gentle vs. very playful) • Trainability and attentiveness ⸻ 2. New Owner Preference Form Prospective owners will complete a Puppy Preference Form where they select desired personality traits and lifestyle preferences, including: • Activity level (active, moderate, relaxed) • Household type (children, other pets, quiet home, etc.) • Experience level with dogs • Desired temperament (calm, playful, affectionate, independent) • Goals (family pet, companion, emotional support, etc.) ⸻ 3. Matching Process Based on your preferences and our evaluations, we will carefully match each puppy to the most suitable home. Selections are made in reservation order, but final puppy assignments are guided by compatibility to ensure the best long-term fit for both the puppy and the family. ⸻ 4. Final Selection & Approval Once matches are determined: • Families will be presented with their recommended puppy • You will receive details about the puppy’s personality and traits • Final approval will be confirmed prior to pickup ⸻ 5. Our Commitment We prioritize temperament and long-term success over color or appearance. This process helps: • Reduce mismatches • Improve training outcomes • Ensure happier homes and well-adjusted puppies ⸻ Important Note While we do our best to match preferences, exact personality traits cannot be guaranteed, as puppies continue to develop over time. ”
