I'm Chanara P., the breeder behind Pets First: Dog Breeding, Training & Grooming located in Keithville, LA. We offer quality, health-tested, and well-socialized Poodle puppies. All of our breeding dogs are AKC registered and have health screenings verifiable through the Canine Health Information Center (CHIC) database. We focus on health, temperament, and conformation to the breed standard. We would love to connect you with your next beloved companion!

Why did you start breeding?
I wanted to do my part to better the breed and provide beautiful, happy, and incredibly healthy puppies! It has been a joy of a journey, and I look forward to responsibly sharing my passion for this breed with others who are just as excited about Poodles as I am!What makes your program special?
I am extremely passionate about health testing, and I go above and beyond to ensure that each one of my breeding dogs is in pristine condition before producing a litter so that I can provide others with quality puppies! I believe that health and extensive health testing is the most important element that you can have in a breeding program. In addition to great health, I also look at the temperament and pedigree of each breeding pair. My commitment is to provide you with a professional and friendly puppy-buying experience!What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Wisdom Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
