Meet the breeder

I'm Shelby P., the breeder behind Petty Paws located in Hartville, MO. We raise healthy, happy puppies in the countryside. Our puppies are born and raised in a family environment, surrounded by children, other pets, and the everyday sounds of home life. They receive hands-on care, and lots of gentle handling, helping them grow into well-adjusted, confident companions.

Q. & A. with Shelby

  • What makes your program special?

We’re a small, family-based breeder raising our dogs in a loving home—not a kennel. Our puppies are part of our daily life, handled and socialized from birth by both adults and children. We focus on health, temperament, and early development, giving each puppy the best possible start. Our parent dogs are well-cared for, health-checked, and treated as cherished family members.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our Cockapoo puppies are mini size. Shihpoo puppies are mini size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
