Lynelle M.

Breeder of Poodles

Meet the breeder

I'm Lynelle M., the breeder behind Pink Begonia Poodles located in Lone Tree, IA. We are a quality breeder of UKC Top Ten Grand Champion, Fully health and Genetic Diversity Tested Standard Poodles in Multicolors and Solids, located near Iowa City, IA.

Q. & A. with Lynelle

  • Why did you start breeding?

My first AKC show dog ended up having mild hip dysplasia, so I chose not to breed her. My second show dog ended up passing all health tests and finished 2018 UKC's #7 multicolored Standard Poodle. She is a 6-time Group Winner and a 3-time Champion and Grand Champion Class Winner at Gateway Nationals. My 3rd show dog, selected specifically to complement my top ten girls, is an extreme genetic outlier, his dam is 1/2 German Klein and 1/2 Russian. At his first dog show on day one, he won Reserve Best in Show and came home a UKC Champion after showing one four-day weekend.
  • What makes your program special?

My dogs are not only of good conformation and temperament but are also genetically diverse which will help the breed, in the long run, to help prevent illnesses which plague Standard Poodles due to decades of line breeding and inbreeding such as Addison's disease and Sebaceous Adenitis. Please visit our Facebook Page, "Pink Begonia Poodles".
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
