I'm Jeannine M., the breeder behind Pittypaws Special Blend Scottie's located in Mokelumne Hill, CA. I am a small, home-based breeder with large expectations for my Scottish Terriers! I offer top-quality, loving puppies! As a breeder, I feel a sense of responsibility to prioritize each of my puppies' overall health and temperament and ensure that they are loved and well cared for before joining their forever homes. My AKC limited registration also requires a 5 page signed contract for each of my puppies. I guarantee my Scotties for the life of the pet for genetic faults known to the Scottish Terrier breed. I will also take back any of my offspring for any reason for their entire lives if you are unable to properly care for my pup/dogs. Or they no longer fit in your home or lifestyle.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I have always loved dogs of all breeds. And was excited to establish my breeding program in 1983. I have enjoyed the journey, and I am a proud breeder with a focus on temperament and my puppies' overall mental and physical health, while still conforming to the AKC standards for the Scottish Terriers. Because of this, we reserve the right to choose which families are best suited for each puppy. I do not allow buyers to choose the puppy other than color and gender. My Scotties are what transform your house into a family home. They will be apart of your home and life giving you many years of love, devotion, companionship, protection.

  • What makes your program special?

    I want to play my part in maintaining this wonderful breed of dog by following the breed standards. I am very dedicated to what I do and what I aim to achieve as a breeder. I work with passion, heart, and integrity, and I truly want what's best for the Scottish Terrier line. I would be honored to speak with you and connect you with your next loving companion.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include red brindle, silver brindle, wheaten, black brindle, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,500 - $2,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“My price includes 1 AKC limited registration Scottish Terrier. I do not allow breeding of my offspring. There is a very specific 5 page contract that must be signed for one of my puppies. I guarantee my puppy/dog against genetic health issues for this breed for the life of the pet. My puppies/dogs may be returned at any time of their lives. They will come with their first puppy shots, worm free, vet checked, 5#'s of quality safe puppy kibble, a bed blanket, treats, and toys. The deposit to ensure your are approved for one of my puppies in the current litter or for my next litter wait list.”
