I'm Rebecca K., the breeder behind Pleasant Valley Bernedoodles located in Perrysville, OH. Our goal is to provide the healthiest puppies possible by testing our dams and finding sires with excellent genetics as well. We are committed to spending the time necessary with the puppies to give them a great start at potty training and socializing them very well.
Q. & A. with Rebecca
Why did you start breeding?
My sister-in-law is an amazing breeder and we are very close. Watching how she runs her breeding program inspired me to do the same. It was a natural transition for me because of my love for dogs. She was a great mentor for me getting started and still provides a wealth of wisdom.
What makes your program special?
The primary thing that makes our breeding program special is that our 3 mom dogs are literally also our house pets. They live in our main living area of our house, and our puppies are raised in our house as well. With many family members here often, the puppies get a lot of socialization. And the pups learn a lot of appropriate behaviors that they wouldn't learn in a kennel.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies include mini and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include brown and white, sable, and tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Rebecca was wonderful to work with from day one! She was very responsive before we even made a deposit, answering any and all questions we had before giving one of her puppies a forever home. After speaking with her and doing a video chat to meet the puppy we was interested in we had no doubt that we had found our fur baby and even more sure we was in good hands with Rebecca. As the time to pick up our puppy came closer and closer she sent pictures, a video and even updates on shots. We have had our puppy, Gus for about 4 weeks and have had an absolute blast with him. He is smart….will already sit for his treats, he is already using the bathroom outside, and showing his large personality. All this due I’m 100 percent sure to Rebecca’s years of interaction with Bernedoodles ! Me and my fiancée will forever be thankful to Rebecca for helping us complete our little family!
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
