About Mally
Mally is the middle child of the three Standard Poodles we have in our home. It was after seeing the amazing pairing of Merkin and Mally that I was inspired to start the Plush Poodles breeding program. Their personalities compliment each other so well that I knew their puppies would have amazing temperaments and incredible intelligence. Mally is a phenomenal problem solver and has excellent agility talents. With a strong prey drive, she keeps us safe from squirrels and rabbits. For sure the alpha in our pack, she still maintains a sweet and cuddly demeanor…on her terms. We’ve only gotten rave reviews from the pup parents of her and Merkin’s first litter! She has been DNA tested by Embark and cleared of all genetic diseases. She has been OFA tested and CHIC certified for eye health, hip/joint health and thyroid health.
Great health testing

About Merkin
Merkin is the oldest of the three beloved Standard Poodles in our home. As a puppy he was a very deep red color, but has since cleared to a light cream. Merkin has never met another being he didn’t love from moment one and will shamelessly ask for a belly rub at any random moment. He’s athletic and playful, but one of his most amazing qualities is his mind. Whip-smart and with an ‘old soul’ demeanor he’ll stare into your eyes and you’ll swear he can tell what you’re thinking. People who meet him while looking for a puppy almost always remark that they want one with his personality and temperament. Merkin had DNA testing done by Embark and was cleared of all genetic diseases. He has been OFA tested for thyroid, eye, hip and elbow health and has been found to have no issues. He has been issued CHIC number/certification 174600.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
OFA/CHIC DNA Repository, DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
