Meet the breeder

I'm Ashley B., the breeder behind Polar Pup Cotons located in Anchorage, AK. Polar Pup Cotons is a boutique Coton de Tulear breeding program dedicated to health, temperament, and purposeful puppy raising. We produce a limited number of thoughtfully planned litters and use Puppy Culture, ENS, ESI, temperament testing, early crate training, and the Misty Method.

Q. & A. with Ashley

  • Why did you start breeding?

After meeting my first Coton de Tulear when I was a child, I was completely captivated. I wondered whether the Coton I had met was unique, so I began researching the breed, attending dog shows, and learning from experienced breeders. That journey inspired me to combine my lifelong love of dogs with my dream of raising exceptional companion puppies.
  • What makes your program special?

I intentionally keep my program small. My breeding pair are my only dogs, allowing me to devote my time and attention to their health and training. Both parents live in my home, have completed health testing and hold OFA CHIC numbers. Each family receives a puppy guide I personally developed, combining the methods I use in my program with years of research and insights from respected trainers.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
