I'm Michael B., the breeder behind Polesitter English Springer Spaniels located in Collinsville, IL. They make great family pets and love to be wherever their human is!
Q. & A. with Michael
Why did you start breeding?
I have always loved dogs and we always had a "farm dog" growing up. I wanted to show dogs for as long as I can remember. When I graduated college I went to a dog show and fell in love with the Springer Spaniel breed. After I got my first show dog, I was hooked and have earned championships in conformation, agility and obedience.
What makes your program special?
My breeding program is special to me because I only breed a litter when I am wanting another dog to show. I research the pedigrees of many dogs before I decide on a breeding. I am looking what will give me the attributes that I want, along with a great temperament. All of my dogs have to be great family companions as well as live in society.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include liver and white and black and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
