Poodle Sense

Sandy V.

Breeder of Poodles

Meet the breeder

I'm Sandy V., the breeder behind Poodle Sense located in Harris, MN. Poodle Sense has an exceptional breeding program. All our parent dogs are health tested for hips, elbows, cardiac, SA, NEws, MTC, DM, VonWillebrands, PRA-prcd and RCD4 prior to breeding. All puppies receive early neurological stimulation (per Puppy Culture), Puppy Culture and AvidDog tasks and exposures. A personality Volhard test is performed on day 49 and reports are created for each puppy to help their new families choose their new puppy. I am committed to selling you a puppy that will fit well with you, your family and your goals for your new furry family member.

Q. & A. with Sandy

  • Why did you start breeding?

I found I loved training my first dog and volunteered to raise and train Standard Poodle puppies for a service dog organization. There were never enough qualified Standard Poodles being donated so I decided I would learn how to breed healthy good-tempered Poodles with a focus on their health, retrieve abilities and temperament.
  • What makes your program special?

I stay educated in the best possible methods for rearing puppies and in the health of our breeding dogs. I use early neonatal stimulation, Avid dog and use two outside testers to perform the Volhard temperament test. Our puppies are raised and nurtured to give them the best opportunity to be prepared for life with their new families in their forever homes.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black, blue, brown, and cream. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
