I'm kiara J., the breeder behind Poodles Are Mixy located in Allentown, PA. We breed our dogs to improve coat, quality, temperament, health, & genetics. All of our dogs go through health testing before being approved for breeding. We put the life and health of our Dogs FIRST. We raise and treat them as a member of the family.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    Since I was a child, I have always had a connection to animals. They have always brought me joy. When I was 13 years old, I've help deliver a family member's dog and since then I realized what I was meant to do! With further education on breeding and anatomy through AKC Me and my Husband decided to start our own breeding program with the purpose of improving the Breed.

  • What makes your program special?

    Our dogs and puppies are raised from our home. We carefully select parents with the purpose of improving coat, structure, temperament, color, & health. Each puppy goes through (ENS) early neurological stimulation. They are exposed to baths to prepare them for grooming. Car rides, Men, Women, & Children. They are exposed to different stimulation activities and spoiled before leaving our homes.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Poodle puppies include toy, miniature, and moyen sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Maltipoo puppies include apricot and red. Poodle puppies include sable, apricot, black, brown, red, white, parti, and phantom. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and guardian homes.

Getting a puppy from kiara

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,500 - $4,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Puppy pricing range from $2,000 to $5,000 depending on breed, registration (limited), Champion Bloodline, traits, genetics, color, uniqueness and size. We require a $500 non-refundable holding fee on all puppies to ensure the hold of your puppy. It also covers vaccinations, supplements and vet visit.”

    We are so happy with our puppy from Kiara originally known as Joker and now named Gnocchi! She was very active and responsive to all of our questions and concerns as well as providing us with a packet of birth papers, toys and a dog bed when we met halfway for pickup. Gnocchi has been a light in my families life ever since we got him. He is very calm, loving and energetic! It’s been almost 3 weeks of having him home and he’s already asking to go outside when he needs to use the bathroom and listens to us when we tell him to sit. He’s the best puppy we could’ve asked for and exactly what we were looking for!

    If you only read one review, this is it! 1-10 our experience was a PERFECT 10. We are hard to please lovers of all things "doodle". We brought home a Toy Maltipoo on Dec 29th, her name is Shoes, from Poodles are Mixy. In the past, we have had Cavapoos for 20+ years. Recently we started our search for a maltipoo from a small breeder that was more "family-friendly" than they were strictly "all-business". Our results: 1. Communication with Kiara before Gotcha Day = 10 2. Social Media presence/full transparency = 10 (Insta/FB) 3. Corp website = n/a (GoodDog.com was our resource) 4. Patience with our non-stop questions = 10 5. Requests for additional pics and vids = 10 6. Kiara's Personal Mission Statement = 10 7. Small Family Vibe = 10 8. Puppy Vet records from a reputable Vet = 10 9. Sweetness from Kiara when separated on Gotcha Day = 10 10. A goody bag of supplies, food and scented blankie = 10 11. NOT A PUPPY MILL = 11 12. Documentaion/Contract = 10 (We even got a birth cert) 13. The $$$ transaction through GoodDog.com = 10 (Kiara wouldn't even accept our non-refundable deposit until after she had met us in person) 14. Communication after the sale (Kiara calls them Pupdates) = 11 In the end Kiara clearly works hard to make this business work for her and her family. But not at the expense of finding the perfect home for her pups. She even refers to us now as Puppy Parents, not Dog Owners. And remember, she's vetting you as much as you're vetting her. We will be recommending her to everyone we know. Good thing she sent us home with lots of business cards.

    We are so happy with the choice we made getting little Cooper from Poodles Are Mixy. Kiara was super responsive with our back and fourth messages and she answered our barrage of questions regarding Cooper's parents and lifestyle. We absolutely fell in love with him from the cute picture she had on the website, but we unfortunately live 800 miles away so we couldn't go see him. Kiara set up a video call so we could see him while also getting to know Kiara and asking more questions. After all was said and done, little Cooper was in our home a week later after having flown via a nanny service. The whole process was easy, safe and had complete trust in Kiara. Cooper is literally the great little puppers we could have asked for. He's so smart and a complete love-bug. He's great around other people and does nothing but give little kisses. We are also impressed on the crate traing Kiara had introduced to Cooper. Night one, we were expecting whining and barking when we put him in the crate for sleeping. What was got was silence and a happy sleeping pup. It's been a breeze training him and he adapts so well to our lifestyle. We highly recommend Poodles Are Mixy to anyone looking for well tamed, intelligent and loving pups!

    I just have to start off by saying this was our first experience with buying a puppy from a breeder, and we would do it all over again because of Kiara. Kiara was absolutely wonderful. She was incredibly knowledgeable and always answered every single question we had. She never left us hanging and answered everything almost right away! You can tell she really cares about her dogs. Each and every single one of them. She gives them high quality food, vitamins, treats and most of all, love. I would highly recommend Poodles Are Mixy to anyone!
