Meet the breeder

I'm Sarah P., the breeder behind Powers Doodles located in Mc Cook, NE. We are committed to always responsibly breeding with the best interest of our puppies’ health and longevity at the forefront. We are a simple, family-run breeding program offering loving and loyal companions to others. We focus on quality care and health with each litter we raise.

Q. & A. with Sarah

  • Why did you start breeding?

I am a science nerd. I love science and the study of genetics. I think it is absolutely amazing how a momma and a pappa can create such a diverse group of little ones. For me, breeding creates an environment to encourage good genetics and minimize or eliminate undesirable genetics.
  • What makes your program special?

We raise one litter at a time - on purpose! Breeding and development are more work than letting momma take care of her pups on her own. We want to make sure we have done everything for every pup in our program to give them the best chance to find the right home on the first placement! We help introduce new sounds, smells, people, and experiences and we try to nip any bad behaviors early on.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are medium size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include red, apricot, chocolate, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Sarah was absolutely perfect to work with and I would recommend to anyone and everyone.. Juneau is my girlfriend and I’s first puppy and Sarah was very quick to answer any questions we had before and after getting our puppy. You could clearly see Sarah, and the rest of her family, specifically her daughter, truly cared for these puppies as they were growing up and furthermore cared about where all their pups ended up! It was evident they wanted the best for the puppies and my girlfriend and I loved that about them. After the first week of having our Juneau, Sarah is still continuing to answer all our questions and help us along the way! I have zero complaints about Power’s Doodles, they deserve all 5 stars.
