Meet the breeder

I'm Leslie L., the breeder behind Prama Poodles located in Arvada, CO. Our poodles are bred with health, temperament, intelligence, and conformation in mind. All our girls are, at the minimum, AKC Champions. We are incredibly proud of our breeding program and our dogs. Application is to get on our waitlist.

Q. & A. with Leslie

  • Why did you start breeding?

My parents bred dogs when I was growing up and I knew it was something I wanted to do as well. I didn't want to breed until I could show and make sure my dogs are up to the standard. I'm able to do that now. I aim to improve the breed so that there can be high-quality Poodles for people to enjoy and love.
  • What makes your program special?

I make sure my dogs are proven in multiple areas - conformation being first, then obedience, and anything else the dog may enjoy (like fastcat, rally, and agility). Health testing and temperament are important as well. We use Puppy Culture protocol and will try to place our puppies in homes that are compatible with the individual pups. We have only a few dogs at any given time so all the dogs get individualized attention.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black, blue, and cream. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

  • Brucellosis

A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), Osteochondrodysplasia, Miniature Poodle Type, DNA Disease Panel, Chondrodysplasia/Dwarfism
