Why did you start breeding?
Our love for Mini American Shepherds began with our first dog, whose intelligence, loyalty, and athleticism amazed us. Wanting to share these wonderful traits, we committed to responsible breeding—focusing on health, temperament, and AKC standards. With a passion for raising well-adjusted, socialized puppies, we ensure each one is ready to thrive in their forever home.What makes your program special?
Our breeding program stands out because we raise our Mini American Shepherds in our home, treating them as part of our family. Each puppy is loved, socialized, and nurtured from birth, ensuring they develop into confident, well-adjusted companions. We focus on health, temperament, and AKC standards, providing lifelong support to families who welcome our pups into their homes.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include red tri-color and blue merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Getting a puppy from Kelby
Kelby has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices include a $250 non-refundable deposit and between $950 - $1,750 final payment, before taxes & fees.

Kelby may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. DNA Disease Panel, Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
