John L.

Breeder of Golden Retrievers

Meet the breeder

I'm John L., the breeder behind Pristine Goldens located in New Holland, PA. Our breeding program focuses on the temperament, health, well-being and happiness of our dogs and puppies. In addition to the health, well-being, and happiness of our dogs and puppies, we offer support throughout the puppy adoption journey to ensure a joyful, pleasant and seamless experience.

Q. & A. with John

  • Why did you start breeding?

Our Golden Retriever journey began in 2011 with the arrival of our first Golden, Cassie. Our experience with Cassie left us with a newfound love for the Golden breed and we want to share this boundless joy with others. All of our dogs are a part of our family and live in our home with us.
  • What makes your program special?

In addition to the loving Golden personality, we focus on the health and well-being of our puppies. Before any breeding takes place, our dogs undergo OFA clearances, encompassing hips, elbows, heart, and eyes as well as screening for 250 genetic markers, ensuring the future health of their puppies. Once puppies are born, we emphasize early socialization and attentive care to ensure confident pups.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are light golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
