I'm Sandy R., the breeder behind Pups and Paws Toy Poodles located in Bakersfield, CA. Having a dog in our lives is such a blessing. We find so much fulfillment in providing that same companionship to other homes! The pups become integral members of my family. They’re a daily part of everything we do until they’re ready to join their forever home. I commit myself towards preparing each one of the pups to thrive in their new home. I enjoy working with the paw parents so they can raise their pup with confidence.

  • What makes your program special?

    Our baby pups and toy poodles are cared for in a loving home environment. Lots of roaming around/playtime in my home. The puppies get a lot of socialization/interaction and nurturing. They are also introduced to many sounds/noises. Occasionally outside during the day to play if the weather isn't too hot or freezing. They are crate trained/puppy pen and potty trained, Early Neurological Stimulation.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are toy size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies are red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Sandy

Sandy has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Sandy partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $700 non-refundable deposit and between $3,100 - $3,300 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes genetic health tests, veterinarian exam of health, Full AKC Registration. First set of puppy shots of vaccinations, deworming, dewclaws removed, 1yr health guarantee and puppy socialization, champion bloodline pedigree. Crate trained, pee pad/potty trained. Printout detailing feeding instructions and routine. A small bag of puppy food is also included. Toy with litter mates scent. FaceTime and every other day videos/photos with weekly pup growth photos and videos as pup grows. This deposit is non-refundable, unless there is an issue with the health of your puppy. In that case, the buyer will have their choice of a full refund or transfer that deposit toward another puppy.”

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.     We are so grateful to Sandy for our beautiful, sweet puppy boy. From the first day I contacted her, she has been incredibly responsive, organized, and lovely to work with, offering support at every step and always available for questions on top of sending regular photo & video updates. I truly felt her love and care for our pup in the weeks waiting to get him. She was so patient and encouraging with all my new dog-mom excitement. She was very accommodating and easy to coordinate pick up with him and we felt supported through his entire transition. She had all of the documentation organized and in order when we picked him up, with food, pads & a toy for us as well. He settled in so quickly, thankfully because Sandy had potty trained him on pads and crate trained so he started sleeping in his playpen within the first few nights. He gets so many compliments wherever he goes, he’s so friendly, smart, eager to play and cuddle, excited to train, and socialize and bond with us. Our veterinarian complimented him on being quite a nice, handsome pup. Our puppy is thriving, happy, healthy and we feel so lucky to have him every day. I would absolutely recommend working with Sandy. She is so sweet and we’re grateful for her such a positive process, and Bella for my dream puppy, we love our boy!!

    Sandy was amazing. She was great at giving photos and videos. I loved she did FaceTime. Not a lot of breeders do that and most don’t send photos constantly. That was my first questions. So do be careful with that. I am so glad I chose Sandy’s program. I just love my puppy. Smelled so good when I got her and has a great temperament. I received everything I needed and was explained what to expect and I loved that I can always connect to Sandy anytime of the day even for the smallest questions I had. So very helpful. She is truly so sweet.
