I'm Darryl & Linda P., the breeder behind Purplehaze Acres Cotons de Tulear located in Rubicon, WI. Our family has been raising pups as a hobby since the 1980s on our 60-acre organic farm. We raise our pups in the living room with lots of loving from small and big humans, and other critters. They are a part of our family until they become a part of yours.

  • What makes your program special?

    Just as we do for our dogs everyday, we are intent on giving our puppies their best life start. They are given great loving & care, healthy food, and room to romp.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include black and white, tri-color, white, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Darryl & Linda

Darryl & Linda has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Darryl & Linda partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“We take great care in placing our fur-babies with caring, loving families because our Cotons are caring loving pups. They all have the companionship disposition, but after about 5 weeks, we can garner a little more of their individual personalities. ”

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,500 - $1,700 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes the 1yr guarantee, AKC pre-paid FULL registration, vet exam, first round of vaccines, de-worming, care package, micro-chip kit, and well-rounded socialization. We don't ask for deposit on unborn puppies, but if you want to hold a pup in a litter, we ask for a $500 non-refundable deposit.”

Darryl & Linda may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.     Darryl and Linda were FANTASTIC to work with. Linda was very responsive, answered any questions we had, sent updates and pictures of our Ax, and couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. Linda met us halfway for the handoff, and couldn’t have been kinder. Ax, our puppy, came home confident, friendly, and incredibly adept at using a potty pad. He has been a joy, and added a light to our lives. We feel so lucky to have come across Purple Haze Acres, and to have worked with Darryl and Linda. Ax has stolen our hearts, and we couldn’t be happier with the entire experience. In my opinion, it was absolutely perfect. 10/10, 5 stars, whatever the top rating available is, I’d happily give it.

    We had a truly wonderful experience with Darryl and Linda from Purplehaze Acres! "Callie" as she is now named is a complete joy! Her birth name was Cutlass Gold. She is a perfect little pup and we fell in love immediately!! Linda met us about halfway to pick up Callie on June 12th and was most accommodating to the traffic snarls we encountered getting there. We are very, very happy with Callie and appreciate everything that Linda and Darryl did in raising her for the past 8 weeks! They had a complete care package for us with Callie's bed, blanket, toys, harness, and packets of food. They made it so easy! We highly recommend them and their beautiful puppies!!

    Linda was very amazing! My husband was very reserved about getting a coton from a breeder we had no clue about. She video chatted with us, she took pictures of Polaris now Blackie, and she always responded very quickly! I never waited more than a few hours to recieve a response.
