I'm Katelyn D., the breeder behind R & K Golden Acres LLC located in Wellington, OH. We offer puppies from registered and health tested parents with wonderful temperament and personality. Our dogs are first selected by temperament and personality, then genetically cleared as well as cleared through the OFA for breed specific common issues. Our dogs and puppies are raised inside of our home right alongside of our family and treated like our own until they find their forever family.

Why did you start breeding?
We got our first golden retriever in 2022 and fell in LOVE with her. We wanted to be able to produce puppies for other families that have been raised in a way that will set them up for the most success in their future homes. It’s important to me to be a responsible breeder that can continue to test and guarantee healthy pups that will live a long and happy life.What makes your program special?
The puppies are raised in our home right alongside our family and are handled daily by our young children. The puppies are responsibly exposed to other dogs, cats, a variety of sounds, smells, and other situations that may be stressful as they develop so that they can become familiar with these things and become a confident and loving adult.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include dark golden, golden, and light golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

“This price includes our contract guarantee, AKC registration paperwork, dewormings, first vaccinations, microchip, puppy socialization, and full vet check at 6 weeks. All of our puppies are the same price with limited AKC registration. We offer full AKC registration at an additional price. Deposits are NON refundable and no puppy will be held without deposit.”

Litter update on 15 Mar •…Light Pink 🩷 the sour patch kid. She’s a bit more rambunctious, she’s a little ornery…if somebody is biting my feet or pulling the puppy pad across the pen, I already know it’s her without even looking…but then she’s quick to flip the switch from sour to sweet and climb in to my lap to snuggle and fall asleep. She loves attention and loves to play and can’t wait for somebody to come and play with her. She’s going to bring A LOT of love and laughter to somebody’s home. Could it be yours? 🩷

About Arsenal
Arsenal is an extremely sweet and smart boy who is excited to do anything you're doing. He is the definition of a velcro dog! He's beyond happy to sit, snuggle, and be a couch potato, but he's just as happy playing fetch. The moment he sees a tennis ball, its game on, and he never wants to quit. Arsenal has received his OFA clearance for hips, elbows, and cardiac. He has been genetically tested cleared for 10 out of 11 of the most breed relevant health risks. For the 11th, he received a notable result as he carries one copy of the ichthyosis mutation. This means he is a carrier only and will not be affected by the condition. The variant will not impact Arsenal's health since he only has one copy of the variant. Ichthyosis is an autosomal recessive trait, meaning puppies would only be affected if BOTH parents carry and pass on the mutation. When bred to a female who has tested clear for ichthyosis, no puppies will be affected. Arsenal has been, and will ONLY be bred with females that have tested clear for ichthyosis. I am committed to responsible breeding practices and always match him with genetically compatible females to ensure healthy litters.

About Echo
Echo is extremely calm, well natured, and loving. She has been a breeze to train and will do anything we ask of her. She loves all people, especially children. She is very laid back but won’t hesitate to grab a tennis ball for fetch or wrestle with a doggy friend! She is an absolutely fantastic, attentive mother who has raised one litter of wonderful puppies, and just whelped her second litter. This second litter will be her last litter before she retires from breeding and spends the rest of her life as our family pet. Don't miss your chance to add one of Echo's puppies to your family. Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
