Q. & A. with Judy
Why did you start breeding?
I was introduced to Goldens by a friend when my children were small. I had never met another dog like her. I wanted others to know this same love and affection. Years past I began to be aware of health issues arriving within the breed so I started looking for better genetics and health and found them in the European bloodlines. I’ve been breeding these linages ever since.
What makes your program special?
I believe my 35 plus years of experience and surrounding myself with those who know more than I about these wonderful dogs gives me an advantage. I hold a high standard in health clearances and genetic testing, which offer the best start to life. That , along with ENS and Jumpstart training for all our puppies. A clean, loving living environment full of age appropriate social stimulation
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include golden and light golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

We had a wonderful experience with Judy with R Ranch Goldens. Our boy Waffles (previously known as Olaf) is a sweet boy! He has big paws, a big head, and big floppy ears. He is now 12 weeks olds and seems to be growing into his body. When we got him at 10 weeks old, he already knew to go outside for potty but he has quickly learned to used a bell to let us know when he wants to go outside. We have been working with him on basic commands already until he can begin more formal training once gets all his shots. He is smart and very social. He doesn’t bark at the doorbell or when people enter/leave the home. Waffles and his older sister Bella (our 7 yr old miniature golden retriever) are acclimating and figuring out their dynamic. He loves to follow her around and share toys. He gets lots of playtime and cuddles during the day. He is crate trained and sleeps well in the crate at night. We love him so much and look forward to giving him a happy life!
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
