I'm Marcy L., the breeder behind Rainbow Goldens located in Durango, CO. I breed show quality Golden Retrievers that I show in multiple venues. All of my dogs have health clearances and an emphasis on temperament. My dogs are my pets and house dogs. I have been breeding for 40 years and have loved every step of the journey. My puppies are all sold before they are conceived.

    I understand the very important role that breeders undertake; that being today’s breeders are the guardians of the future Golden Retrievers. I do everything I can to stay educated and devoted to ensuring I am breeding healthy, happy pups.
  • What makes your program special?

    I do everything I can to ensure my puppies have everything they need to develop into healthy and happy dogs. In my breeding program, good health and temperament are essential, cuteness is guaranteed, and lots of love is always included.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
