Meet the breeder

I'm Brittanie Y., the breeder behind Raintree Poodles & Mini Doodles located in Eagle Mountain, UT. I am constantly learning and improving our program. We bred specify breeding quality dogs with full rights. All our dogs are registered. We PennHip, OFA, and DNA test all our dogs. We follow puppy culture protocol, do early grooming/vaccinations/potty, and crate training. Our puppies are raised in our home with our 6 children.

Q. & A. with Brittanie

  • Why did you start breeding?

When I was about twelve years old our young female family dog, Wrinkles, a Shar-pei mix, had a litter of puppies. None of us knew they were coming until just before they were born. There were eight beautiful shar-pei/lab mix puppies. They were the cutest animals I had ever seen, and I was in love. I loved those puppies so much and searched to find them all homes but failed. Just after they turned 8 weeks old, we turned them over to the local Pet Store. The next day, my parents had our family dog spayed. We were surprised to later learn that the pet store not only found homes for all our puppies, they charged $350 each, for the puppies we gave them for free. I missed those puppies so much, and that’s where it all started, the seed was planted. From then on, I wanted to have another litter of puppies. But what to Breed? And how?
  • What makes your program special?

I have learned so much from my start, and I still have a desire to do everything right. I want to breed superior puppies. We do this by researching pedigrees, DNA/Health and temperament tests, early vaccination/ deworming treatments, we follow “Breeding Better Dogs” early neurological stimulation, we follow puppy culture protocol, providing just the right stressors at just the right time to foster resilient, confident temperaments. We focus on potty directing as well as incorporate early groom training, crate training and leash training. I spend hours each day researching other kennels for ideas and ways to improve.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our Bernedoodle puppies include mini and medium sizes. Poodle puppies include toy, miniature, and moyen sizes. Goldendoodle puppies include miniature and medium sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Bernedoodle puppies include sable, black and white, tri-color, and phantom. Poodle puppies include sable, apricot, black, brown, red, parti, phantom, and brindle. Goldendoodle puppies include cream, apricot, red, chocolate, phantom, and parti. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.
