Q. & A. with Gabe and Kristy
Why did you start breeding?
It truly breaks our hearts when we come across a beautiful furry friend who isn't healthy. We believe they deserve the absolute best, and that's why we've dedicated ourselves to breeding well-tempered, healthy dogs. We were fortunate to spend time with a dedicated breeder who allowed us to be their understudy. We are truly grateful for the time, knowledge, and training we received.
What makes your program special?
Our core values guide every aspect of our breeding program. Ethical breeding practices, a commitment to the health and well-being of our dogs, and a focus on preserving and enhancing the breed's unique qualities became the pillars of our vision. Our dedication to producing not just beautiful babies but also temperamentally sound and genetically healthy puppies sets us apart in a competitive field.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies include blue merle, black tri, red tri, and red merle. Golden Retriever puppies are dark golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Litter update on 05 Oct. •
We’re thrilled to announce Darla × Nick, our much-anticipated dark red Golden Retriever pairing, expected November 14, 2025. Darla is our gentle, people-focused mama with a history of incredibly easy, eager-to-please puppies. Nick is a calm, handsome gentleman who lives to love his people—he consistently passes along steadiness, beautiful structure, and that rich, dark red shade we adore.
Both parents are health tested (OFA and Pennhip - hips/elbows/eyes; comprehensive DNA panels) and were paired first for temperament. We expect confident, cuddly, food-motivated pups who are quick to train—family-friendly, biddable, and versatile—equally happy adventuring or napping at your feet. Puppies are raised in our home with early socialization plus intro to crate & potty training, and you get lifetime breeder support. Estimated go-home: January 9, 2026 (8 weeks).
Due to demand for Darla’s puppies, our waitlist is nearly full. If you missed Darla’s last litter, this may be your moment! I don’t think they get darker than these two! A $250 non-refundable waitlist fee holds your place; the remaining $2,750 is due after birth when you select your puppy.

✨ Gracie × Shiner – Expected December 2025
Mini Australian Shepherds • Full Panel Clear Parents • Raised Right Pups
We are thrilled to announce this upcoming pairing between Gracie (red merle female) and Shiner (black tri male – red-factored and BET carrier). Gracie is genetically E/E (does not carry recessive red), ky/ky (recessive non-black), and at/at (tan-point pattern) with multiple brown variants, giving her that beautiful warm red merle color with rich copper accents. Shiner brings his classic black tri coat, intense reddish-brown eyes, and the bonus of red factoring and striking blue-eye potential.
Together, this cross is expected to produce a stunning variety of blue merles, red merles, black tris, and red tris, many with those signature bright blue eyes our program is known for. Beyond looks, these puppies will shine for their temperament — calm, loyal, highly intelligent, affectionate, and eager to please, true to both parents’ natures. As always, every Raised Right Pups baby is born and raised in our home, introduced to early neuro stimulation, crate and potty training by 8 weeks, and sent home with a comprehensive health guarantee and lifetime support.
This pairing combines the best of both worlds — color variety, brains, and that classic Raised Right temperament. Reserve your pick now to join our priority list for this beautiful upcoming litter!

About Shiner
💙 Meet Shiner
Black Tri • Red Factored • BET Producer • Full Panel Clear • 16 inches • 20lbs
Shiner is our stunning black tri male with deep red factoring, and soulful red-brown eyes that stop people in their tracks. He’s the ultimate lover boy, affectionate, confident, and always eager to please. Shiner knows he’s the king of the castle and absolutely loves his job — both as a loyal companion and as a proven stud who consistently produces blue-eyed tris (BETs) and merles with incredible color, structure, and personality.
Structurally, Shiner represents the true Miniature Australian Shepherd standard, a balanced frame, strong topline, straight front, correct angulation, and a perfectly proportioned muzzle that gives him that classic, masculine Aussie expression. His puppies consistently inherit his clean structure, beautiful heads, and that signature “Shiner look” — bold, athletic, and full of heart.

Gabe and Kristy were an absolute joy to work with. Every week we received countless photos of our Apollo as he grew bigger in preparation for his transition home. They were very good at communicating his progress in training and it was wonderful to welcome home a pup who was mostly potty trained, crate trained and knew how to sit like such a sweet little boy. When we first got Apollo they gifted us a bag full of food, treats and information to help with the transition to our home. We couldn't be happier with our experience with Gabe and Kristy.

I can’t say enough good things about Gabe and Kristy with Raised Right Pups! From the initial contact, they were so responsive and knowledgeable. Through every interaction, you can tell how much they care about the dogs they are raising. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and I’m so grateful we found them through Good Dog. Our family has never owned a golden retriever before, but Kristy patiently answered every question (she still does)! 10/10 stars all around! 🤩

Kristy and Gabe were very responsive and regularly gave updates and information about our puppy, which we loved. You can tell from interacting with them that they love and know all things golden retriever. They definitely have the dogs’ best interest in mind with the care and training they give them. We were super happy with our experience with them and would highly recommend anyone to them for a puppy. Thanks again Kristy and Gabe!

We had an amazing experience working with Gabe and Kristy to bring our golden puppy home from Oklahoma to Tennessee. From the very beginning, they were incredibly responsive, organized, and knowledgeable. They made what could have been a stressful process feel smooth and reassuring every step of the way.
Their attention to detail, especially around vaccinations and health protocols, gave us complete peace of mind. They answered all of our questions promptly and made sure we felt fully prepared for the transition. It was clear they truly care about their dogs and the families they go to.
We’re so grateful for their help and support throughout the process. Thanks to Gabe and Kristy, our puppy’s transition into our home was seamless—and we couldn’t be happier!

Gabe and Kristy were so helpful with helping us find our perfect little puppy! We were able to travel from Colorado to pick him up without any issues whatsoever! They were very responsive and provided us with the best updates each week. They also sent us home with an amazing care package with all of his information and helpful resources in general.
Our golden is very playful, but also has a very good “off switch” where he switches to cuddle mode quickly. He has been able to sleep through the nights and has been basically potty trained since we picked him up.
I would highly recommend Raised Right Pups for anybody looking for the perfect golden!

Gabe and Kristy were very responsive and knowledgeable about the breed. I enjoyed getting updates and photos of my pup every week. I truly appreciate the training that Kristy does before the puppies go home. Apollo is pretty much potty trained at just 8 weeks old and I owe a lot of thanks to Kristy for that. Overall, my experience with Raised Rights Pups was a 10/10 and in the future if I’m looking for another dog this is the place I would come back too. The fact that they offer lifetime support with any questions I had at home with the pup is spectacular! Not only that but if I ever need to board him, Kristy is willing to take him and continue to train him is fantastic! Anyone would be lucky to gain a companion from them!
