I'm Angie H., the breeder behind Ramblin’ Rose Mini's located in Lowgap, NC. We cherish each of our dogs and puppies, and we do everything we can to make sure that they get the best lives possible. That includes everything from choosing healthy parents with good temperaments, to proper socialization and daily care, to placing them in loving homes with wonderful families. We strive to provide each of our puppies and their families with a truly positive experience!

Why did you start breeding?
I used to breed Shelties as a teenager and recently developed a love of the Aussie breed. I knew that I wanted to help preserve this wonderful breed by breeding dogs with wonderful personalities as well as great conformation.What makes your program special?
We do things a bit differently than a lot of other breeders. I do not start taking deposits until about 5 weeks old. This allows me to see how the puppy is developing and it’s personality so that I can match he/she with the best family possible! The idea is to minimize the possibility of the puppy being rehomed later on by finding the best fit for them the first time! Great temperaments are one of our main goals! All of our parents are chosen for excellent temperaments as well as conformation.What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Miniature American Shepherd puppies include black tri, red merle, blue merle, and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Angie partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape.
“We start matching puppies at about 5 weeks old when they are starting to develop personalities. Show/breeding prospects may be matched around 7-8 weeks. ”
Price
“The price includes ASDR and/or AKC limited registration, pet only with spay/neuter contract, deworming, vaccines, vet check and microchip. We do not sell puppies with breeding rights unless discussed beforehand. Deposits are non-refundable unless something happens to the puppy before going home(becomes sick or develops a problem while still in my care).”

Litter update on 13 Aug, 12:49 AM •…Babies are here! She had 6, 3 boys and 3 girls. They are a week old so it will be a few more weeks before we start taking deposits, but we do have room for a couple more on our waiting list, both tri babies will be available and at least one Merle. These will be toy to small mini size.

Litter update on 14 July •…I thought they would be tired after coming in from the playground this morning but they’ve been trying their best to make a mess of their clean pen! 🤣 Explorer (blue Merle) is going home in a few days but the other two are still looking for their perfect homes!

Lol The two black and white boys at the end are still available and ready to go! The good thing about picking a 9week old is that I can really tell a lot more about their individual personalities at this age! Apply for more details!

About Darla
Darla is one of our up and coming girls. She completes her health testing May 2026 and if everything is good we hope to have a Summer litter from her! Darla is a little girl at just under 14” and 16 lbs. she is a sweet girl that just adores my daughter. She is one of our more active girls but will also settle down and snuggle in the house. She has been easy to train and is pretty too! She is a Tango and Tuff daughter and we’re so blessed to have her because they are both retired now.

Tuff is a fun loving, goofy boy who loves heights! We have never done agility but I have no doubt he would be great at it because he loves to climb on top of things. He learned how to get on the trampoline with the kids at a young age! He has a great personality, he’s wonderful with the kids and shows some interest in herding livestock. He is protective and loyal like a good Aussie should be and we can’t wait to see what he produces! Tuff’s genetic testing is clear through Canine Health Check, NAD clear, OFA hips- Fair, Elbows & Patellas Normal.

Piper is our newest girl. She is ASDR registered as a mini Aussie. She has a very sweet personality and gets along well with the other dogs. Piper is about 15 1/2” tall and 28lbs, she has a lot of bone and is built like a tank! OFA Hips- Good, elbows & Patellas normal. MDR 1 carrier but clear for everything else, including NAD. Piper has a lot of Timberline bloodlines.

About Tessa
Tessa is my personal shadow who came into my life just when I needed her. She is a sweet girl who is loyal and protective of those she loves and she is the definition of a Velcro dog who is dedicated to her person! Tessa is 14” tall and 18lbs. She is a bi blue (no copper markings) and is red factored which means when bred to a red or red factored male she can produce all colors! She is also clear on all genetic testing.

About Hooey
Hooey is double registered as AKC mini American and ASDR mini Aussie, he is a friendly, goofy boy that is very athletic. He also gets along well with other animals. He is OFA Hips- excellent, Elbows & Patellas Normal, eyes were checked at 2 yo and were normal. Hooey has good movement and good structure and we think he will cross well on our Merle girls. He is 15 3/4” tall and just under 30 lb, but he has several toy sizes in his lines so we expect him to throw some smaller pups when crossed with our smaller girls. Can’t wait to see his first pups!

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
