I'm Paul M., the breeder behind Ranch Royale located in Franklin, VT. A preservation breeder focusing on health, temperament, conformation, and breed club standards. The sport of purebred dogs is my passion. Having raised and finished many AKC Champions in my home I am pleased to be able to offer pet-quality French Bulldogs and Chinese Shar-Pei to loving families as they become available each year. Bred for purpose.

Why did you start breeding?
My first experience with the French Bulldog was not good. I purchased a puppy from a terrible breeder who died 3 weeks later of BOAS in her crate overnight. I thought to myself - I must do better. After this event, I sought out a LOVELY show breeder who sold me the most beautiful cream puppy. I entered her in her first show and from there it all began. I knew I could make a difference.What makes your program special?
My breeding program is special because I choose to honor the breed and the standard that was laid out for the Frenchie. I work *ONLY* with *STANDARD COLORS* and prioritize *HEALTH* over everything.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our French Bulldog puppies include brindle, cream, and fawn. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Maggie is a clown and a joy to be around. Her one goal is to make you laugh and she is quite good at it. She is a lovely girl with a beautiful public OFA health profile. Maggie has done well in AKC shows including being awarded Reserve Winners Bitch at the Independent Specialty Show during the 2023 French Bulldog Club of America National. Her beautiful soft and expressive face, tall round bat ears, and enthusiastic personality are a true stand out.

About Tripp
Tripp is a lovely boy with heavy boning, beautiful silhouette, and a gorgeous large SQUARE head that catches everyone's eyes. My favorite brag about Tripp is his health - scoring a 'ZERO' on the OFA Respiratory Function Grading Scheme test. This means he is clinically unaffected by brachycephalic obstructive airway syndrome. Tripp is laid back, loyal, fun-loving, adventurous, and cuddly. He has proven himself in the AKC show ring since a pup including a BEST PUPPY, and RESERVE WINNERS DOG at the 2023 French Bulldog Club of America National Show in Wilmington, OH.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
