I'm Jackie G., the breeder behind Red Barn Farm of the Ozarks located in Missouri. We breed on a very limited basis as we don’t believe in breeding for just the sake of breeding. It averages out to be a litter every 12-18 months, with DNA screenings, and each breeding is carefully supervised by our Vet to be sure every step of development is documented. Mothers are screened after each birth to evaluate if another breeding is to happen, we never push our girls.
Q. & A. with Jackie
Why did you start breeding?
A dear friend mentored me with my all-time favorite little breed. She has bred for years and has taught me so much.
What makes your program special?
I want to think our biggest achievement is how passionate we are for the health and wellness of the breed. With cautious breeding programs including testing so we can ensure the quality of the breed for the future.
I want to feel confident that I did all that I could to give new owners and puppies a strong foundation for success in blending their family with the puppy.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

It was love a first sight. Jackie was so patient with us and our questions and we were able to FaceTime and meet our girl to learn more about her. Jackie helped us match us with the perfect addition to our family. We highly recommend this breeder. We are so happy with our little ball of love.
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
