I'm Deirdre C., the breeder behind Red Door Poodles located in Bettendorf, IA. Our dogs are bred for health and intelligence. They have been chosen for their therapeutic use by multiple trainers and families. Poodles are sensitive in nature and quite smart. We strive for a pup with strong health to stay by your side for many years.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    After seeing the impact our own poodle made in our family, a sister of mine suggested breeding. I have siblings who were already breeding their favorite breeds and together we have become stronger in our knowledge of ethical standards, wiser business practices and understanding our breed.

  • What makes your program special?

    We are distinctly family based. Between our 6 children and us, we strive for puppies that are well rounded, socialized and ready to quickly bond with their new families. We are particularly careful to only clear genetic health tested parents. We want our families to have their dogs in good health for many years to come.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies include miniature and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include apricot, black, brown, red, and parti. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and guardian homes.

Getting a puppy from Deirdre

Deirdre has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,500 - $2,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
