Meet the breeder

I'm Yolanda H., the breeder behind Red Moon Mini Aussies located in South El Monte, CA. Our pups grow up underfoot—not in cages—surrounded by kids, cuddles, and plenty of early learning. When you adopt from us, you become part of our extended family. Our goal is simple: to raise puppies who bring joy, companionship, and unconditional love to the families who welcome them. Whether you’re looking for a loyal adventure buddy, a gentle family companion, or a snuggly best friend, we’re honored to help you find the perfect match.

Q. & A. with Yolanda

  • Why did you start breeding?

We’re a family with deep roots in the dog‑breeding world, beginning years ago with our beloved English Bulldogs. Those early days taught us the importance of health, structure, and responsible breeding—values that still guide everything we do today.
  • What makes your program special?

Our program is built on a foundation most breeders never get: years of hands‑on experience with a completely different, high‑maintenance breed. Raising English Bulldogs taught us discipline, structure, and the importance of doing things right—from health testing to early care. That background gives our Miniature Australian Shepherds a level of thoughtful, responsible breeding that truly sets us apart.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Miniature American Shepherd puppies include red tri-color, black tri, red merle, and blue merle. Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies include blue merle, black tri, and red tri. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Yolanda

Yolanda has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Yolanda partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“Our matching process is designed to ensure every Miniature American Shepherd puppy is placed in a home where they will thrive. We evaluate each puppy’s temperament, energy level, structure, and personality, and we use that information to guide families toward the best fit for their lifestyle and goals. We take time to learn about each family—their activity level, experience with dogs, home environment, and what they’re hoping for in a companion. Based on this, we help match puppies in a way that supports long‑term success for both the dog and the family.”

Price

Puppy prices include a $300 non-refundable deposit and between $1,200 - $3,200 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Each puppy goes home with age‑appropriate vaccinations, deworming, a vet health check, a starter kit, and lifetime breeder support. A non‑refundable deposit is required to reserve your puppy. This deposit secures a specific puppy once selections open. The remaining balance is due at pickup. Deposits help ensure that each puppy is matched with a committed family.”
