Why did you start breeding?
We specialize in Miniature Poodle, Cocker Spaniel, Cockapoo, Cavalier King Charles, and Cavapoo puppies. We are located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, hence the name Red Stick Kennels.What makes your program special?
Our goal is to produce healthy, happy, and well-socialized puppies. We are purposefully small so that our parent dogs can be raised as part of our family on our four-acre micro-farm. We have a true passion for the process and love of our breeds.What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Cockapoo puppies are mini size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Cocker Spaniel puppies include red and white, red, golden, buff and white, buff, black and white, and black and tan. Cockapoo puppies include brown and tan, brown, sable, golden, red, black white and tan, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.
Getting a puppy from Samantha
Samantha has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Samantha partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 7 weeks old.
“Once temperament testing is complete, score reports and testing videos are sent out to those on our pick list and selections are made in the order of reservations.”
Price
“For information on current or upcoming litters, please visit RedStickKennels. com. We require a $400 down payment at the time of application. Puppy "picks" will be made in the order of deposits received at 6-7 weeks of age after completion of puppy temperament testing. RedStickKennels. com/puppies.”

DNA Disease Panel, PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
