I'm Sarah B., the breeder behind Reddington Shepherds located in Harwood, MD. Reddington Shepherds prides itself by using heavily influenced Czech lines. Our dogs are carefully selected, titled, and health checked/tested before breeding. We provide a 26 month Hip/Elbow health guarantee as well as lifetime breeder support.

Why did you start breeding?
Growing up in a military family we always had German Shepherd dogs. Learning at a young age about working lines and spotting potential in dogs as training prospects was truly inspirational. Shopping for my own German Shepherd I was dissatisfied with the lack of avail imported lines. I decided to use my knowledge and expertise and started Reddington Shepherds using superior Czech/DDR import lines.What makes your program special?
Our program is built on exceptional imported bloodlines which have produced many great working German Shepherds known for their dark pigment, correct structure, physical stamina, balanced temperaments and excellent health. Our dogs are versatile enough to be worked and settle in the home.What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Sarah has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices include a $300 refundable deposit and between $1,000 - $1,300 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“Price includes a negative fecal result, dewormings, microchipping, 26 month health guarantee, and first vaccinations. Reserves puppy gender/pick order. Deposits are refundable up until the puppy reaches 7 weeks of age after which the deposit becomes non-refundable. Deposits are accepted after the birth announcement.”

Sarah may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. He is large at 96lbs and both tall and long. His pedigree touches the much desired old Czech z Pohranicni Straze Kennel which produced dogs solely used for protection purposes. His pedigree also has DDR influences. Czepo is a MEDIUM energy dog with a high ball or stick drive for training. His house manners are perfect and he settles very well in the home environment. Trained in bite work Czepo is rightfully suspicious of uninvited guests. He has tight obedience and is social with female dogs. His favorite snacks are Cheeze It's, Beef Jerky, and hotdogs. Chi is a medium drive female with a strong prey drive for the hunt and chase. Being clever and even tempered she is quick to learn and adapt to new situations. Her pedigree derives from the much desired old Czech z Pohranicni Straze Kennel. Chi has proven to quickly become alert to any threats and will defend and protect the home at a moments notice. Naturally motherly Chi is especially protective and bonded to our young child while always remaining gentle with her. Family and companionship is important to Chi and she thrives on simple love and acceptance as her reward. A true gentle yet brave soul.

She displays a nice protective behavior as she is alert to strangers while showcasing loyalty and love to her family as her first priority. She is confident yet remains dog neutral and shows no aggression. She has a high ball and food drive which she loves to work for. The ball is her favorite reward during training sessions. Her obedience is always flashy and on point. She is grand-daughter of the excellent producer Leon von der Staatsmacht. Sabba also excels in protection work with a natural instinct, her grips are deep and full. She hits the decoy hard and shows just as much power as the males do. Sabba is a prime protection dog that loves to train and be challenged yet also adores settling in the home while being the ever faithful protector of her family.

About Reddington
Redd is a powerful, bold, and confident male with an excellent drive to work. He trains best using a stick or ball and will go above and beyond to please his handler. Sound nerves and wonderfully social he displays no aggression towards dogs or invited guests. Naturally protective he does take perimeter checks very serious. Though high energy as a pup he has matured into a balanced medium energy male that can focus on any tasks given. He has a talent for scent work though he has not been trained in that avenue.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
