Redemption Kennels

Selina S.

Breeder of Cane Corso and Shetland Sheepdogs

Meet the breeder

I'm Selina S., the breeder behind Redemption Kennels located in Aurora, NC. We strive to breed Cane Corsos and Shetland Sheepdogs that possess the breed characteristics that exemplify their breed standards. Dogs that are intelligent, devoted and love to work with their people.

Q. & A. with Selina

  • Why did you start breeding?

I started training and competing with my first sheltie. I was lucky enough to start in the breed with a dog that was a great representation of what the breed is; a small working dog that lives to work with and please their handler. While she was never bred she cemented my love affair with the breed. Training with her also brought me so much joy and fun.
  • What makes your program special?

Our focus on the total dog. It’s normal for people to fall in love with the looks of a dog but they must make sure the correct breed temperament is what they truly love. We place an added emphasis on health because every dog deserves to be healthy and have a great quality of life. As breeder I never want to be responsible for the broken hearts that genetic diseases in a dog can cause.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
